Decorating your body

Hi everybody,
The subject of this week is 'tattoos'.
The first and the second of June there's a tattoo convention in Genk. I'm really looking forward to go to this convention. The best tattoo artists wold wide will go there and you can admire their works. You also can win a tattoo. But the chance of winning this is super small!
I'm interested in tattoos and piercings for a long time. When I see a person with some body decoration I find them more interesting than somebody with a plain body. I always think life is dark enough, so why do people have to be sombre too?
Of course it's your own choice whether you like tattoos and piercings or not. But I just think they're nice to see.
I really want a tattoo, but my daddy doesn't want me to get one. He thinks I'm going to regret it later. But later, when my body is full of art, he will understand my obsession.... hehe
I'm planning to get matching tattoos with my mom. We're still thinking about it .. I don't know yet what we're going to take. When I'm older I also want a tattoo that represents my dad, but that's just for the future.

Geordie life

Hi y'all,

After reading the title of my new blog, you probably have an idea of the subject of this week.
"GEORDIE SHORE".
You can definitely say I'm a Geordie shore addict. I just love watching it! But I've got to tell you something really sad... Yesterday was the day.. I saw the last episode:(

So it's time to go to rehab. My most favourite person in the show is Charlotte. She's just really funny and dumb. I always have to laugh with her sayings. She uses sayings that I even never thought about but they are very obvious. For example: Gary says to her she must chill out a little bit and she answers: "Gary I am chill! I'm just as chill as a Buddha." Okay, I have to admit, this saying was not that funny! But it was the first one that came in my head so...
Coming back to Gary a.k.a Gaz, he's an asshole. He's been playing with Charlotte's heart since season one and she's so sad because of him every season! He always gives her a good feeling, says he loves her and all that... And than he has sex with another girl, even in a bed next to Charlotte's bed! If it was me, I would kill him. In the first few seasons she just cries over him. But in the last season she really explodes and she doesn't want to see him anymore. And so it ends. Charlotte went out the house because of him, but she forgot her fishes(they are named Scrumbled, egg and toast.) Gaz wants to make it up with her and brings the fishes to her house, but she doesn't open the door. Well, I really hoped they would end as a couple... But I think they will become a couple in a next season.
Apart from this 'beautiful love story'. Geordie shore is about having sex, drinking 'till drunk and being beautiful. I have to say I mostly like the outfits of the girls when they go out. So you definitely can take some inspiration to you by watching Geordie shore!

Summer time

Hello again!

Well, I'm going to start this blog with something funny! Well, I thought it was funny. So, Tuesday, I went to 'Club factory' with Kaat and Dana. We were dancing and suddenly Kaat said: 'Wow, that's a handsome guy on the platform.' I must say, he wasn't ugly! But he wasn't my type...
A bottle of white wine further, she was still looking at the guy. Than I got a brilliant idea. 'Why wouldn't I go to the dude and say that my friend likes him?' So I went to the guy and I told him..
You know what he said?! "I'm gay" I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING. But it wasn't that funny for my dear friend.... :(
The next thing I'm going to talk about is H&M. Recently, they have a new collection designed by Beyoncé as 'Mrs. Carter'. It is mainly bikinis and I like it. She even posed herself with the bikinis on. That woman has a curvy body, well I must say a curvy booty! I really appreciate that she posed herself, because the other models are just too skinny and they haven't any curves except some boobs. I like it more when women have some curves, such a skinny body like models these days make women with a fuller body depressed and the body isn't even realistic.
The collection isn't even that pricey. You can buy a full bikini for 20 euros and 25% goes to 'Wateraid'. Wateraid wants to help the world for better drinking water, improve hygiene and sanitation.
I really like the yellow bikini and the one with the fringes. So I'm surely going to H&M  and see if they fit me well..

Festivals part 2

Hello,

Today is a perfect day for a festival! Still 110 days and than it's time for 'Pukkelpop'.
Like I said, Today is the perfect day for a festival. Not too hot, not too cold, not too windy...
Just perfect!
The thing I hate on a festival is....... warm weather.
I mean, people are sweating, are jumping... Their armpits are touching you. Iiiiiiiiii I just hate it!
But of course, rainy weather also isn't nice.. Can you remember Pukkelpop 2011? I do!
The rain was pouring out of the sky. First, it was nice because everybody was sweating and it was a really hot summer. But after the rain, we got a shower of hail from God. It did really hurt!
We ran to the first tent we could see, but after a little time, the tent couldn't hold the water anymore and he collapsed. We ran for our lives, but somebody couldn't make it and died under that tent...
Enough of this sad story, now it's happy time!! So previous time, I said that I would tell you about the artists that come to Pukkelpop this year. The headliner is Eminem! I'm so happy that I can see him this year. Because in the year of the storm, he came too. But of course, the festival was canceled. So we couln't see that performance. I listen to him, since I was little. Of course, 'The real slim shady' was THE BEST song of Eminem... Nowadays I still listen to him, not as much as in the past but I still like his songs. Also 'Skunk Anansie' is coming to Pukkelpop. The leadsinger, Skin, fell on the stage when they performed in 2011 during the storm. I didn't see their performance back then, but this year I'm sure going.

Festivals

Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I wrote something here. That's because we had holidays!
I bought two tickets for festivals during the holidays, namely for Pinkpop and Pukkelpop.
I'm looking forward to summer, because of the festivals! Pinkpop is 14-15-16 June and I'm going there with my dad, but only on Sunday because it's during my exams. Luckily, my parents said 'You deserve some relaxation during your exams, so you can go!'
I was really sad when I heard Pinkpop was during that period this year. Last year, I also went to Pinkpop and then it took place in May. That's a lot better.

My dad wants to go to Pinkpop because he wants to see Triggerfinger. Triggerfinger is a Belgian Hardrock band. They made a cover of the song 'I follow rivers'. (Officially the song of Lykke li. )Triggerfinger's cover of the song became a big hit. It was a good cover, but their own songs are also very good!
I also want to go because of Triggerfinger, but I also want to see Trixie Whitley(talked about her in one of my previous blogs) and Die antwoord.
Die antwoord is an African group. Their music sounds very weird and sometimes funny because of the language they use. The most known song of them is 'Enter the ninja'.
The woman(Yolandi) and man(Ninja) of the group also look really strange and a little bit scary, but I like how they have their own style and stage presence. It's always really special.

Next time I'll talk about the groups that come to Pukkelpop!

Fashionable Hair

Hi everyone!

The subject of this week is.......
HAIR COLORS!
I really like to color my hair. It's an obsession. I've been doing it since 2009, so I was 14-15 years old. I've had a lot of colors. Blond, reddish, red, brown, black.
The color I want now, is also reddish. But I'm thinking about what kind of red..
In summer I want to be orange, nice orange ofcourse. I think it's easy for my friends. For instance at a festival 'Where is D?' 'Oh there is the orange head!!!'
But recently, I saw also other kinds of colors that I like a lot. These are not just natural colors for the hair, but really bright colors like purple, pink, blue, red....
I think coloring your hair in such colors is really cool and also courageous because people will stare at you in the street and old women will say 'Oh my dear child, what did you do to your beautiful hair?!' (Yes, also my grandmother does that when I color my hair)
Lately I've been following a girl on youtube and her channel name is 'Melon lady'. Well that girl, has lilac hair and it's bloody awesome! But I think mommy and daddy won't be happy when I have this color on my hair...
But the fact is, the world would look a lot prettier if just a few people would dye their hair in a beautiful color like Melon Lady did.

Let's go clubbing with some styling

Hello again!

In my previous blog, I told you about my birthday... And I also said, that me and my friends would go out for it!
Well, Saturday, Me and my friends went out at 'Club Factory'. It's the club where I really wanted to go, because I love the atmosphere and music in there. Also the people in there are just normal. Well, normal..
A lot of people hate 'Club factory', but they never went in there.. So they say it's for sluts and 'the farmers' who live in that area. Ofcourse, those people don't know what they're talking about.
That being said... There was an action 'Buy one, get one for free untill 12 O'clock at night' And shots, normally shots cost 4 euros for one, were that night only 2 euros.
Kaat and I, started to drink Tequilla. So when we bought one, we got two. .
Moira and Moreno drank a few ' Blue visions' and Dana... I can't remember what she drank!
But what I remember, is that we had a lot of fun!
Dana and Moira went home at 2 o'clock at night, because they had to study the next day.
Moreno, Kaat and I stayed there 'till 4:30. We went home with a taxi, which was really expensive. SHARPERS!
What happened between arriving and leaving the club.... I will not tell! (My english teacher is reading this)
But.. I will post some pictures!
Nobody was really drunk, so the pictures aren't really that spectacular. We were just elated and enjoying the night...
Next blog, I will write again about fashion.

Fashionable birthday cake

Hello there!

Like I said in my previous blog, I have celebrated my birthday yesterday! It was a really nice day and I enjoyed every second of it. I turned 19 and it feels a little weird! Because next year, I'm turning 20(!!!) and 20 sounds really grown-up and that's the last thing I am! Sometimes, I even ask myself how it came so far that I got my drivers license... That's so adult-ish!!!
That being said, I got really nice presents for my birthday! My friends gave me a really nice watch, the watch that I wanted for a long time. So I was really pleased by it! It's a golden watch of the brand casio. It looks very old-school. They also had a cake for me, which was delicious. They brought it to me with 3 candles in it, so sweet, and of course I had to do a wish. Well, I'm not going to say what I wished for! My parents gave me the best present ever. Last year, I got my nose pierced for my birthday. Well, this year I wanted my neck pierced, but my daddy didn't want that. I also understand where it's coming from; I'm his little, beautiful daughter. hihihi
So I didn't expect that I was going to get the neck piercing for my birthday. After school my mom took me to a 'shop' where I could choose something, but eventually, we drove to the piercing shop.
So my mother had convinced him. I was really happy ,but also scared. It hurt more than I thought, but I'm really happy with the result. I'm really thankful to my parents, especially my mom (not just a mom, also best friend) , without her, I would never have gotten a single piercing.
This saturday, me and my friends are going to party at a club. I don't know which club, that's a surprise, but I think it's going to be fun! I will post some drunk party pictures in my next blog.(hehe)

Need love, Not clothes

Hi, I'm back again!
Today i'm going to talk about my latest favorite song.. It's called 'Need your love' by Trixie Whitley.
First, I heard another song of her several times on Studio Brussel. I liked the song but I never searched for the song on the internet and I never knew from who the song actually was.
Lately, the program 'The voice' is on Tv and there was a girl, Lauren Zweegers, that sang ' I'd rather go blind'-the song that I heard on Studio Brussel- and the commentator said it was by Trixie Whitley. So I searched on the internet and I found the rest of the songs and I really liked them.
I also saw on the internet that Trixie Whitley is half-Belgian, half-Amercian which I think is very cool. Her father is also a singer, his name is Chris Whitley.
I like the song 'Need your love' because it's very abstract. I mean, you really can't imagine what she sings, so you have to think about it and you can give your own interpretation to it. It's not that I like the song because I need love and I'm lonely. (Haha)
I also like her very deep, bluesy voice.
Now something else, i'ts my birthday next tuesday and I'm very excited! I'm turning 19 and it sounds very old in my ears. I'm also looking forward to Saturday after my birthday, because me and my friends are going to party for my birthday that day! Next time, I will tell you about my birthday and the week after, I will post some pictures

Urban Outfit for Nasty Gals

Hi everyone,
I'm back again.
Today I chose an outfit of the site: www.natsygal.com . I really like the site and the type of clothing that they sell. They have really cool stuff, but you really have to like that kind of clothing because I can imagine it's not everyone's taste.
Today I picked out a really cool dress. When I saw this dress, I began to dream of the festivals.
I would definitely wear it with a big cowboy hat, because I don't like the hat she's wearing, and some cowboy boots. The sleeves at the ends are really nice, so I think this is a really cool and chill- looking outfit. I'm really looking forward to the festivals. I would like to go to Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop, Summerfestival, Reggae Geel, Laundry day and Dour. I think I will have to make a selection, otherwise my summer will be too expensive and I also need to do a job in summer. I think i'm going to Rock Werchter, just for one day, because I really want to see Azealia Banks. She will be there on Saturday. Rammstein, Django Django and Kendrick Lamar also play on saturday... But I'm still waiting for more names. I'm also going to Pukkelpop, without a doubt. I enjoy it every year, so why shouldn't I go!
I still don't know to which other festivals I will go, but hey, I can't spend too much money on Festivals, I still have to buy a lot of clothes!!

No Urban outfits this time

 

Hi everybody,

Today I'm going to write about something different than clothing. We've had holidays and we celebrated carnival, that means we've had lots of fun.

Moreno and me decided to go to a carnival party and ofcourse, we had to disguise us. But we had no idea in which  character. We couldn't imagine something we liked to be, so we decided to look on the internet, even there, we found nothing that was good enough, because we wanted to go as 'a couple'. We just needed to be matched to one another.

Two days before the party, we still hadn't a clue of what to wear at the party. The time was ticking so we went to the shop 'Action'.. Maybe we could find a cute suit at that shop?

But no.. We didn't find a good suit, but we did find a good last-minute idea! We decided  to just buy a mask and wear it with clothes that look a little chic, so we looked like posh people.

Sunday, the day of the party, we met at my cousins house with a few people. They said that we looked very chic together. Once at the party, we walked a round like really posh people with our heads in the air and we heard that the best dressed couple could win 100 euros!

But without success.... A couple of tigers won the price.

We were disappointed, but after all, it was a great night!

Urban outfitters 01

Hello everyone,
This is my first blog. I'm planning to write a blog every week about fashion. Each week, I will choose 1 outfit from the site: http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/page/home&setlocn=eur and I will comment on that outfit. So it doesn't mean that I actually like each one. I just take a random outfit, so it isn't always my taste of clothing
First, I took this outfit. At first side, I like it. I love the bomber jacket with the drawings on the sides. It's a tiger and a dragon. It's very cool and I like the vintage look.. Too bad it's satin...The T-shirt is very sober,so all the attention goes to the jacket. The jeans is also very cool, altough it's a little too much.. 5 holes were good enough.The part I love the most about this outfit, THE SHOES. These are Dr. Martens, most comfortable shoes I ever had! The only disadvantage is that they are a little expensive. 137 euros for a pair of shoes. That's not too bad, but if you want more pairs in different colors, it will be pricey.. The finishing touch is the hat even tough she doesn't wear the hat pretty. It needs to be put down a little bit. After all, I give this outfit a 7.5/10.
